Want to submit a story to Scribes? Great! But please read our notes below to increase your chance of success. First of all, please remember that Scribes is a select archive - we choose everything that goes on site. We've searched huge fiction archives, dozens of sites, and not found anything we wanted to post. Conversely, we've been known to turn a blind eye to certain things if we really liked a story. Don't be offended if we don't choose your work, we reject stories for all kinds of reasons, not necessarily because it's bad. STORIES MUST... 1. Be your own work. 2. Feature the character of Angel. 3. Have good characterisation. 4. Be standalone and finished. Your story can be any length, rating, set anywhere and with anyone you want, the only restrictions are your imagination. But no poems or crossovers (except with Buffy characters, of course!) USEFUL INFORMATION 1. Your name for the Authors Index. 2. A short story description. 3. Rating. 4. Genre category, currently: Angst, Dark, Comedy, Romance, Slash, AU, Christmas, Halloween and General/Action Adventure stories. 5. Pairing, if any. And tell us if this would be a first post, exclusives are always good to have! WHAT TO DO Send us your story in any of the following formats: HTML, text or Word.doc and include the relevant information. It would be helpful if your story was 'Internet Friendly', ie, spaces between paragraphs, no tabs or indents and using a standard font like Times Roman or Arial. We will acknowledge receipt and get back to you with our decision when we have read it, usually within 48 hours - but allow a little longer if it's a large story.
